JHU SAIS to Host Federal Deficits Forum Featuring Blackstone Group Chairman Peter Peterson
The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "The Quad Deficits: Why They Matter and What We Can Do About Them," on Tuesday, 02/6 at 9 a.m.
The forum, hosted by the SAIS Center on Politics and Foreign Relations (CPFR), the Financial Times and the Johns Hopkins University Center for the Study of American Government, features the following participants:
- Peter G. Peterson, senior chairman and co-founder of the Blackstone Group, will give the keynote remarks. Peterson also is chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
- David Wighton, New York City bureau chief of the Financial Times
- Robert Guttman, CPFR director
Admittance to the event is by invitation only. However, the event is open to the media for coverage.
The session will be held in Room 500 of the school's Bernstein-Offit Building, 1717 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
