JHU SAIS to Host Forum With Congressmen Kirk and Larsen on U.S.-China Relations
The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will host a forum with Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Rep. Rick Larsen (D-WA) on Wednesday, 02/8 at 5:30 p.m.
Having traveled to China in January, Kirk and Larsen will speak about "U.S. Congress: An Update on U.S.-China Relations." The congressmen, who are co-chairs of the U.S.-China Working Group in Congress, are seeking to build diplomatic relations with China and to make Congress more aware of U.S.-China issues, as much of this century's history will be written between Washington and Beijing.
The event, free and open to the public, will be held in Kenney Auditorium located on the first floor of the school's Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to the SAIS China Studies Program at 202.663.5816 or zji@jhu.edu.
Media who want to cover this event should register with Felisa Neuringer Klubes in the SAIS Public Affairs Office at 202.663.5626 or fklubes@jhu.edu.
